Chisel out the sides of the hole to allow the table top fastener to move freely. Screw figure 8 fastener to base with 12 6 flat head screws. Dont over tighten just snug.

Be sure that the legs are an equal distance from the corners. Remove legs and drill holes for threaded inserts. Use your pocket hole screws to attach the middle of the top to your legs.
